Postcard #16: The New Forest Map—UK

This is my first postcard from England, sent by Andy in Southampton. I received a nice map card  depicting New Forest area in interesting art. The card shows some interesting facts of villages in New Forest, such as Lyndhurst where Alice Hangreaves—the inspiration of "Alice in Wonderland"—lies, and Minstead as home of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle creator of Sherlock Holmes! :D The New Forest was proposed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in June 1999, and it became a National Park in 2005. UNESCO describes it as
an area of outstanding wildlife and landscape interest fashioned by human intervention and use over thousands of years.
Andy used a definitive stamp depicting Queen Elizabeth figure. It's not boring, Andy. I like it! :)
