Postcard #27: The Tallinn Old Town—Estonia

This beautiful card came from Lea in Tallinn, Estonia. Tallin is the European Capital of Culture 2011, along with Turku, Finland. The card shows the amazing Tallinn Old Town, with hundreds of heritage buildings that still retain its charm. The fortress looks very sturdy to protect the town inside and the whole area of this medieval northern European trading city seems very well-preserved. The Tallinn Old Town became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997.

Three nice stamps used. From left to right are stamps with pictures of: Leucanthemum vulgare, Pica pica, and Canis lupus.

Suur tänu, Lea!
