Postcard #21: Carrying Paddy Stalks—Vietnam

I observed that the readers of this blog have increased day by day. First of all, thank you for stopping by, and I am sorry for late updating this blog because I was slightly busy for some work matters lately. :)

During the last three days I attended a meeting of an ASEAN (Association of South East Asian Nations) forum in Bandung, Indonesia. It was very great to meet a lot of people from around South East Asia in that forum, such as from the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, etc.

Countries in South East Asia has same similarity in many things, particularly related to our historical background and cultural ways. Each country is intertwined with all the others. Somehow, I felt the close similarity when received a postcard from Jo from Hanoi, Vietnam. The beautiful card shows a group of women carrying paddy stalks. Indeed, rice is the most important staple food for us in South East Asia.  :)

The stamps are also superb, aren't they? Thank you Jo!
