Postcard #24: Slovenian Famous Places and Things—Slovenia

Here's a multiview card I received from Polona, showing many Slovenian beautiful snapshots. Slovenia is a small country in Central Europe. Despite its small size, Slovenia has lots of wonderful scenery such as those can be seen on the postcard: Postonjnska jama (the largest cave in Slovenia), Piran (a medieval town on the Adriatic Sea), Triglav (the highest mountain in Slovenia), Ljubljana (the capital of Slovenia), The Julian Alps of Slovenia, and the iconic Bled Castle.

According to Polona, the left bottom picture shows Slovenian traditional carnival costume called kurent. The costumes are very heavy, up to 50 kilos. It chases away the winter time and bring with them the spring time. So that, it symbolizes the beginning of new life.

A pretty candle stamp in Christmas-theme used. Polona also doodled the smiley Sun and cloud beside the stamp, it looks good! Thanks! :)
