Postcard #12: Tao Tribe Festival of Flying Fish Ceremony—Taiwan

I got a nice postcard from Stacy in Taiwan. She sent me a card showing Tao men in their traditional clothes tossing a boat into the air. I'm impressed with the photograph that cleverly made the boat looks like floating in the air. Tao is a small group of Taiwanese aborigines. Stacy said that the ceremony is held in order to launch a new boat for netting flying fish. For Tao tribe, catching flying fish  in the warm water of Pacific Ocean is the core of the their culture.

On this card, Stacy stuck a nice stamp of Siberian Rubythroat (Luscinia calliope). :)
